MISK

MISK

Nestled on Mokattam Hill framing one of Cairo’s most iconic vistas, Misk’s design inspiration was taken from several cultural and surrounding elements. The Egyptian Sieve or “Ghorbal” was incorporated into the design of the shading system. Inspiration from the old city’s cozy alleyways known as “Zoqaq” were used in the partitions, walkways, and seating layout of the venue. Similarly, the design of the outdoor lighting fixtures was an adaptation of the hanging lanterns from the Muhammad Ali Mosque, located in front of the venue.
